REMINDER: School will be closed this weekend, Friday- Monday, for a long Labor Day Weekend. Enjoy the time off!

UPDATE: Due to a nationwide PowerSchool outage, students were given a paper copy of their first 9-week progress reports yesterday afternoon. Please reach out to the student's teacher if there is a concern about a student's progress.

UPDATE: Due to a scheduling conflict, Girls Basketball Tryouts will now be Tuesday September 8, from 5:30-7:00pm. This will now be the only day of tryouts. Players must have an updated physical and parent consent form to tryout. Those can be picked up outside the gym and turned into the front office. Softball players may tryout at a later time. Please contact Coach Tarver to set that up.

It's time to order your Yearbook! The cost is $30.00 until Fall Break. After that, there will be a price increase. ALL Sales are online.

Boys Basketball Tryouts will be next week on September 8 and 9, from 4:00-5:30pm in the CMS gym. Players must have an updated physical and parent consent form to tryout. Those can be picked up outside the gym and turned into the front office. Football players may tryout at a later time. Please contact Coach Hatfield to set that up.

Rising 7th grade students - The Tennessee Department of Health requires that ALL students entering 7th grade be immunized for TDAP (Tetanus/diptheria/pertussis booster). If your child has received this immunization, please send in a copy to the CMS front office or email a copy to Nurse Kendra at Kendra.Reed@blountk12.org. If your child has not received this immunization, please contact your child’s physician or the Blount County Health Department to schedule an appointment. Immunization records must be turned in to the front office at CMS by Friday, October 2, 2026.

Can Drive

Registration for the Blount County Education Foundation Trot for Education is NOW OPEN! The Trot for Education offers a 5K and one-mile fun run/walk. Funds raised go directly to provide classroom needs in all Blount County Schools. This year's Trot will be on Saturday, November 14, One-Mile Fun Run at 8:30AM and 5K at 9:00AM at Eagleton College and Career Academy. Custom-designed t-shirts will be reserved for participants who register before November 2, and deep discounts are offered for early registration.
