NEW: This Friday night is the Battle of the Bell football game at William Blount High School. This is a large event with lots of traffic, so if someone needs to be picked up after the game, they must walk to the Freshman Academy parking lot where the Pick Up zone will be located. At the conclusion of the game, all roads on campus will be EXIT ONLY until traffic is clear. REMINDER: Elementary and Middle School students must be accompanied by an adult to enter the Stadium.
REMINDER: Blount County Schools will be closed for Fall Break from Monday, October 5-Monday, October 12. Students will return on Tuesday, October 13.

**DUE THIS WEEK - 7th grade students - The Tennessee Department of Health requires that ALL students entering 7th grade be immunized for TDAP (Tetanus/diptheria/pertussis booster). If your child has received this immunization, please send in a copy to the CMS front office or email a copy to Nurse Kendra at Kendra.Reed@blountk12.org. If your child has not received this immunization, please contact your child’s physician or the Blount County Health Department to schedule an appointment. Immunization records must be turned in to the front office at CMS by Friday, October 2, 2026.
Baseball tryouts will be held Thursday, October 15, and Friday, October 16, from 5:30-7:00 pm at the CMS baseball fields. Students must have a physical and parent consent form to tryout. Those can be found outside the gym.

Registration for the Blount County Education Foundation Trot for Education is NOW OPEN! The Trot for Education offers a 5K and one-mile fun run/walk. Funds raised go directly to provide classroom needs in all Blount County Schools. This year's Trot will be on Saturday, November 14, One-Mile Fun Run at 8:30AM and 5K at 9:00AM at Eagleton College and Career Academy. Custom-designed t-shirts will be reserved for participants who register before November 2, and deep discounts are offered for early registration.
